Scope
It is the great honor for me to invite you to International Conference on Security Camera Network, Privacy Protection and Community Safety 2009 (SPC2009) held in our beautiful and historical city of Kiryu. In addition, it is my pleasure to inform you that the post-conference seminar, International Seminar on Advanced Safe Community 2009 (ASC2009), will be held in the world famous hot-spring resort, Kusatu.
The aim of this unique conference is as follows,
(1) Deepen the mutual understanding in researches about the security camera network, privacy protection and the related fields among participants including students.
(2) Encourage the students to join the international research collaboration.
(3) It is ideal that some international joint researches are launched among participants.

During SPC2009, events for general citizen and companies, who are interested in the realization of safe community, will be held.. Although these open-for-public events are mainly operated in Japanese language for the convenience for the general citizen, translation will be provided in some means. These evens provide good opportunities for general citizen, engineers and managers of companies, and leading researchers to communiccate and discuss each other on the realization of safer community by advanced social concepts and technologies.

I am delight to invite all of researchers in the area of security camera network and related areas to join the International Conference on Security Camera Network, Privacy Protection and Community Safety 2009(SPC-2009), which is the corporative activity between Gunma University and two universities from Thailand (KMITL and RUTI). This is the first joint symposium on research in security camera network. This activity is the international collaboration among the researchers from different countries that can lead broad areas of corporation. I believe that the conference will give benefit to all participants, which can have more collaboration in the years a head.

Security camera is one of the most important methods of keeping social security in many countries. Security camera is developed by Information Technology, but, operation and management of security camera requires solving not only technical problems but also social problems such as privacy or law problems.
